So much for "giving you the expanded version tomorrow".....maybe it will be a week from next Tuesday!....    :)

We are right smack dab in the middle of the busiest President' Day/Valentine's Day week we have ever had....it's been every room every night and will continue to be like that for another 3 days .....  including 5 dinners tomorrow night.... almost like we are back re-visiting foliage.... 16 to 20 breakfasts every day for 7 days..... Thank you, Lord! :)

Blows my mind sometimes....life is so full...I can't even begin to imagine what it means to be bored....to have nothing to do....actually I am trying to take more things off my plate so I can do a few of the things I would really like to do, instead of all those little foxes things we have talked about....   :)

We have been made in God's image...there is incredible potential within each of us to to become containers of His very life....and fill that container by eating from that Tree of Life  we have been talking about.
That's what the new covenant is all about.

"I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws." (Ezek. 36:26–27)

Once we eat of the Tree of Life in the center of the garden...we need to keep eating from that Tree...that's why the "once we got it"  thing is so insidious....instead of continuing to eat from the Tree of Life, we start eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil all over again ......you know that one!...it looks like this...this is what you do....this is what you don't do....this way of living is right....that way of living is wrong...same thing with what you believe...

One of the enemies biggest lies is that "once you got it" that's all there is....just kinda hang in there 'till the great by and by where you get that big mansion up there on the hill....you know...the one we've all been lusting for forever...isolated from all those pain in the neck people.....when we finally can retire American Style...you know....just sit there on our clouds...totally nothing to do all day...except just sit there... watch TV ...

Way back in the beginning....oops....just a little aside...a guy told me once many moons ago that God began the bible by saying  "In the beginning"....because He was a baseball fan...so God said ..."In the big inning"... I recall being somewhat mortified at the time that anyone would make light of the  "Word of God"  like that....glad I was able to get over that self-righteous religious kind of way at looking at life...   :)

A little digression today...one of my sons....Matt...came up with his wife to visit this weekend...I teased him that whichever son comes to visit becomes my favorite son for the day!....   :)

This is what Jesus was sent to do....and it is also what He is sending us to do...we've said it lots before...let's just take another look.

61:1 ¶ "The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me, Because the LORD has anointed me To bring good news to the afflicted; He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to captives, And freedom to prisoners;
2 To proclaim the favorable year of the LORD, And the day of vengeance of our God; To comfort all who mourn"

For whatever reason God does the things He does and whatever way He decides to do those things...it is really ok with me...I mean it didn't use to be ok with me...back when I was proving I was a member of the human race by trying to control everything in my life...I had a lot of problems discovering that I wasn't really in control of anything...I wasn't really god...even if I was pretending to be.

If you read yesterday's posting, you may have noted that the media doesn't take too well with the things Kurt Warner says...that's because he just proclaims things... a proclamation is just a simple announcement...a public declaration ... of what he believes is true...
