If you have been reading along for a while now...you know that we have had all kinds of big time situations in our lives over the years.....but it seems like we have been having at least one major attack every year....ever since we started praying differently several years ago....it was right around the end of January 2006.....I saw the battle....understood the war for the first time and went on the offensive spiritually....and things changed so radically on every front.

The war...the one I keep talking about...just escalated....very close to home...but then...escalations are always close to home....aren't they......   :)

Hopefully we finally get to the place where we see ourselves as a very integral and real part of the story....we are very important to the story....we even get our very own chapter.....we are so important to God He gives us our very own chapter...     :)

Once we get new hearts, we can get serious about the healing process....it will be a greatly expedited process once we fully understand this story thing I keep talking about. The more this all becomes real for us...the easier it is to understand each step in the healing process....specifically our next step....let's start with the story.

Once we get to the place where we begin to realize what has actually been going on...why my heart has been broken....where all these wounds are coming from...then it would be really good to start talking to God about it....then take it another step.... get to the place where we are willing to ask God to give us a new heart...once we do that...we can begin the process of healing....

Doesn't matter how we got wounded...what it was that broke our hearts...what series of things just seem to happen to us...but they do happen....all the time.....they do happen to all of us...our dreams get shattered...we question the meaning of life...we have no answers....marriage problems...kid problems...business problems...tragic deaths...

 Looking yet one more time at what Jesus said to Father a couple thousand years ago....

  “As you sent me into the world…I also have sent them (us)  into the world.”

We have been sent here to do the same  things Jesus did....and the second thing Jesus said He came here for was to heal the broken hearted.

There are tons of things the scripture has to say about hearts....John Eldrege put them together this way....

I would love to try to wash a few windshields if I can...like to give it a try anyway...maybe make the road a little more visible...it will help if we can accept some of the thing I've been saying over and over in as many ways as I can.

1 - Accept the fact that we have been born into a world at war.

2 - Realize that all the afflictions are because we have an enemy that wants to destroy us.

Wouldn't it be great to know where we are going?  Never met anyone who was totally without a dream...totally without a desire to be something or do something..without a purpose...or a goal...I mean...that's just part of being  human.  Nothing seems to be more important than these things...but then those other things  happen...life happens...I've been calling them afflictions...put any name you like on them ....but stuff happens... the future ? Whats that?

 Of course the number has to come up 7....if we are going to equip ourselves with everything God has provided to fight in this war... there happen to be 7 things we need to put on..... :)

You remember...the war we didn't know anything about but got born right into the middle of ?  Yes...that one.  If we are wanting to stay alive...it would be best to use what God says we have as weapons and armor. So I put this armor on every day.... when I pray this prayer.
