.....Rhino Tanks

I told you about the Allied forces using Rhino Tanks to break thru the hedgerows in Normandy after the invasion in 1944.
"From the steel obstacles placed by the Germans on the beach during the landing, the Americans made many-pronged, sharp, tusk-like objects to attach to the front of their Sherman tanks. This method of cutting through hedgerows was extremely effective...."

One of the other things I saw thru the window at the Lake, was also something the Lord started talking to me about..... is still talking about, actually. At the end of our property, the land drops pretty much straight down 6 or 8 feet to the road.... across the road one can see the Lake. We have worked at clearing the view to the Lake..... at least on our side of the road... :)

....back to the Lake

In my last posting, I referred to all the work I had left to do on Monday once we were finished serving breakfast. I got up there about 11am, worked hard for 3 hours, called Ellen and told her I was going to have some lunch, then be on my way back home. My head is buzzing about all the things I still would like to do up there. I enjoy landscaping. The Lord just shows me things we could do and I get all excited about them. In 15 minutes, I have worked my way thru a peanut butter sandwich and a banana, get up and I'm ready to buzz along.

Sunday afternoon, having no guests checking in to the B&B, we did a spur of the moment thing and drove up to our Lake Cottage to check out all the work that was done up there and stay over night. What a neat time..... to actually take my own advice, kick back and do nothing but enjoy each other and this incredible place that the Lord has blessed us with. We did a sleep over! :)

.....do you hear the filter?

I told you the story about the filter in the fish tank. I woke up about 5 this morning and the Lord said, "ask them if they hear the filter." Then I had this silly like cartoon thing I was watching in the Spirit and there was the Holy Spirit blowing here and there, always stopping and saying "Can you hear me now?....Can you hear me now?.....hmmm.... can you hear me now?"

Yesterday, I told you about my visit with the propane repairman. If you are reading this, forgive me for not remembering your name.... kind of goes with this 70 year old brain of mine... :)

It is such fun though, just sharing life like we did and hearing all the stories about how God is so intimately involved in other people's lives...in exactly the same way He is intimately involved in my life. That is serious fun for me.

...the great adventure !

It really is a great adventure..... I get a little redundant about this, I know.... but so many folks just don't realize that all the stuff that keeps hitting the fans in our lives is what makes it all so exciting. I sit there amazed, talking to God and saying how clueless I am how He is ever going to straighten out the latest mess.... seriously.... when we trust God and not ourselves, there is this awesome sense of breathless expectation as we watch Him turn everything around for good.

Jesus spoke a lot in parables in order to help people see what he was trying to communicate. Remember the little story I told you about Philip the Fish? That was a parable to help you see something I think is very important. Life is not designed as this trouble free journey of wonderfulness where everything goes just exactly the way we plan it to go.

Last time I said some things about don't worry....be happy! Worrying is what Satan wants us to do about everything! That is how he steals our joy.

Remember that one....? Bobby Mcferrin singing.... "don't worry....be happy"
Or how about the song..... "forget you troubles, come on get happy!"
