There are lots of different things that motivate us as people but the two biggies....the ones right up there at the top....the two most powerful motivational forces in this world....those are the ones I want to address today. Let's start with number 2 since most of the world finds this the one that holds the most power over us......fear!
Good Morning!...... :)
Off to another great start. Got my hospital lady all set and on her way by 6:30...had a great time with the Lord....got our oatmeal going on the stove and came into the office with my heart full of stuff to say.... I think the Lord gave me the next 3 or 4 musings this morning.....blows me away.....so I will take a little break for breakfast....be right back.
Wow! What a day. I can't believe all the energy I have. The more this energy thing is happening every day...the more I keep thinking about this guy Caleb. Is it really, really happening to me, Lord?
One more to go.....just one more big breakfast in the morning and the machinery here at the B&B will grind to its November halt. Must say it is a really good feeling. I'm thankful for so much that has happened since everything geared up last May, finishing with the crescendo of foliage. In October we experienced 80% occupancy which is mind boggling considering foliage was actually over by the middle of the month and we had very few guests this past week.
This is one of those "I can't believe I did this!" things....a really "duh!" moment in my life. Here I am, Mr. Wellness...President of the geriatric fitness/exercise/nutrition club.....preaching all the benefits of same....especially the absolute necessity of drinking tons a bunches of water every day!
Good Morning! :) I feel like I haven't written anything in ages...a week has flown by with the peaking of the foliage here in Vermont. If one hasn't experienced that time in Vermont, there is no way to explain it...people drive up unsuspectingly...they stop at a motel and discover there are no rooms...they either pay something like $500 a night or end up sleeping in their cars!
There is busy around here in the B&B.... and then there is busy!..... :)
Here's another what if! We are up to 8 now.... that's a whole lot to think about...I am sincerely hoping you have been doing just that...thinking about these things..... and maybe even keep coming back for a little more to muse on.... :)
I picked this one up from Wayne Jacobsen....
You would think I was insane if I asked you to invest in my wonderful new company which manufactured nothing and was based on getting some sort of return with no effort on your part whatsoever....all you have to do for this is give me your money. Why that would be almost as silly as saying "just trust God." Sure....
I guess we can make this one What if No. 6.... :) we have eaten the idea that life is all about something called "success"... to most folks it mean doing great things, making lots of money, having a great, big something or other.... what a lie!
I want you to know how much this has complicated our lives. Do a little just suppose Philip the Muser is right about this.... I mean...
What if.... Philip is right and my life really doesn't have to be so complicated.
Any of you that have been following these musings for any length of time can probably even smell this next "what if" coming..... bear with the old fellow....
No. 4 was: What if….. what God says about Himself is true….and what I believe about Him is not true?
So No. 5 follows right on top of that...how about giving this one some thought...
