There is nothing quite like the summer at Shadow Lake in the Northeast Kingdom of VT.....but then, of course, there is the awesome color of Vermont foliage in the fall....or the quiet of this winter wonderland...or crunching through the snow on snowshoes and cross country skis....snowmobiling across the Lake...maybe some ice fishing if you prefer.

And what a great retreat in the Springtime when everything is coming back to life in the woods and on the lake....

The Lake Cottage is fully furnished with great views of Shadow Lake, located directly behind Public Beach. The Lake Cottage is on a private road just off the main road along the lake. There is a path at the back end of our property that goes down to the main road which you walk across to the entrance for the public beach.

There is a State boat launching area just down the main road.

Enjoy our 1/2 acre lot with spacious private lawn.....garage for storage on one side..... and what will eventually be another cottage on the other side, when remodeling is completed.

The main cottage has been totally renovated and a new 20’ x 14’ bedroom with bathroom has been constructed incorporating the old mud room area with a new entrance hall. The first phase of our redevelopment is complete now except for landscaping. New photos will be taken soon and our website updated. The roof line of the main cottage has been extended over what was the back porch, the loft has been opened to look out through 5 new windows that create a window wall with a view of the lake. There is a beautiful pentagon window in the triangle of the new cathedral ceiling above the window wall.

The wall between the living/dining area and the old porch area has been removed making one very large area with a large 3’ open stairway into the loft. The two outside decks are as before with an enlargement incorporating the new bedroom which has patio doors to the deck.

The old small bedroom, old bathroom (with a new stall shower), and kitchen will be part of a future redevelopment of the property. The newly insulated open loft is 12’ x 24’ with 2 single beds. There is also a day bed with pop-up trundle. Cottage sleeps up to 8.
