Write a Book?

I am so happy that I never took any of the exhortations to write a book!   There were quite a few encouragements over the years, but the Lord never told me to write one...... and it was a good thing. I would have had to write a retraction of most of what I would have written..... :) even the one I was going to entitle 20 years ago "What I Learned after I Knew Everything"!

So....not to worry, I am not about to write the next Christian get rich quick book or how to be a success when God is on your side.... but I am going to share my story of the wild things that happened when I started praying this wrote prayer on February 1, 2006. Remember..... this is first the natural..... which is nice.... but it's what happens spiritually, in that other dimension outside the Matrix, that really matters.

I am going to crunch a couple of numbers so it will make a little sense for you.....and that something very supernatural happened that first month, when I changed the way I prayed and went on the offensive against what I will refer to as the Matrix :)

In Vermont in the B&B business, the average annual occupancy percentage (rooms booked, divided by rooms available to be booked) is almost 20%. We were averaging 30 to 40 room nights a month, (which was what we considered very good business).... 20% to 25% so we were well above average. December 2005 we had only 21 (with no one New Years Eve for the first time since we opened in 1999. January was just as off with only 20. Our 2 largest months ever were 55 and 56 (total of 111). This was the norm we had grown into, increasing a little in volume every year.

After praying this prayer (maybe took 10 minutes back then), the phones started ringing off the hook.

The first week was 35 room nites booked, then 42 the second week and we ended up with 110 room nites booked (one short of our best two months ever, added together!) and this was in the month with only 28 days to answer the phone. We were stunned. Got the message pretty quickly that this was a good way to fight the war!

I have been praying the prayer every day since.....must confess it has been getting expanded pretty regularly :)...... and added to this have been others who are now walking closely with us in the war.... think "Band of Brothers"..... and the results have continued to be phenomenal with each year bringing us into more and more amazing things.

So many stories.
