What a year!
First great news is that the cold I got blind sided with is gone in just 4 days.
Next good news is, we did a spur of the moment thing on Friday and drove to Maine for a night away (at a B&B of course!), with a dinner and massage package..... then on Saturday drove to be with old friends of ours to witness their daughter's marriage (more about that will be on our family blog page - in our blog roll it's ellen and philip)..... then we drove back last night.
The next good news is that I crunched the numbers for the B&B. Remember back on Christmas Eve when I said "Our dollar volume could be up as much as 28%….. stunning in this economy."....... then the day after Christmas I shared how things were just continuing to happen in the business..... ? Well, we closed out the year with our dollar volume for just the B&B (not even including the new Annex or Lake Cottage income) up 34%......... that is not normal.
Then there was the 26.4% occupancy I was so thrilled with in 2006..... we ended 2007 at an unreal 33%....... I can't hardly wait to see what the State averages were for last year when they get around to publishing their reports.
We are humbled by this, incredibly thankfull and hoping that more and more of God's people will go on the attack against the enemy during 2008..... not to be more successful (whatever that is) or make more money or find some new way we can pretend we are better than the rest of the human race..... but to see who God is in a whole new way, how much He loves us and the place He wants to draw us to, in our relationship with Him.
