.....Rhino Tanks

I told you about the Allied forces using Rhino Tanks to break thru the hedgerows in Normandy after the invasion in 1944.
"From the steel obstacles placed by the Germans on the beach during the landing, the Americans made many-pronged, sharp, tusk-like objects to attach to the front of their Sherman tanks. This method of cutting through hedgerows was extremely effective...."

The Lord puts His hedges around us to protect us from the enemy. The enemy has his own Rhino Tanks he uses to break thru those hedges. His goal is to steal, kill and destroy. He goes after areas of weakness in us. If I respond to any attack on the hedgerow as the old Phil use to respond...guess what.... the war becomes a war where I suddenly find myself doing battle with all those old weapons. Next thing you know, I have removed a very important piece of God's armor, His Breastplate of Righteousness..... which protects my heart and other vital organs from the enemies attack.

Not a good thing to do.... You know... every morning I verbally put on that Breastplate by praying "I put on your breastplate of righteousness to protect and guard my heart from the enemy’s arrows that would try to destroy or steal my heart". Not very bright to take it off again! But I did.... got angry... and the war of words escalated till I totally lost it. God has a lot to say about getting angry. Here are just a few choice tid-bits.

Pr 29:22 An angry man stirs up strife, And a hot-tempered man abounds in transgression.

Ec 7:9 Do not be eager in your heart to be angry, For anger resides in the bosom of fools.

Pr 14:29 He who is slow to anger has great understanding, But he who is quick-tempered exalts folly.

Pr 30:33 For the churning of milk produces butter, And pressing the nose brings forth blood; So the churning of anger produces strife.

In my anger I produced and stirred up strife.... I surely did exalt my folly by acting like a fool.... and I abounded in transgression. It did absolutely no good at all....except that the Holy Spirit immediately convicted me of my sin and, just maybe I will be a little quicker to recognize the next attack and be able to respond more appropriately.

I did respond to the Holy Spirit, just as immediate as the conviction, and repented, asked His forgiveness..... was instantly forgiven and given back His peace.

Hopefully, I will be more aware and not remove my breastplate of righteousness the next time the Rhino appears to assault my hedge.... and here you thought the enemy only prowled about as a roaring Lion seeking someone to devour...... :)
