Did you know that the more we have tried to export our Westernized Version of the "Church".... the more it has failed!   We are getting report after report of successful indigenous church plantings in remote areas of Laos, China, Africa, etc..... and people are asking how it is happening... what are your methods....  how much does it cost..... how do you raise funds!    The response is so simple.... the Lord tells a family to move to another specific village....which they do.... then they live their lives for God in that new village.... not proclaiming anything...not giving answers to unasked questions...not building a building... not hiring a preacher... not dressing funny.... not speaking some language called Christianese... just simply being who they are, loving, caring, normal people...ready to give an answer for the hope that lies within them.

And God is blessing their socks off...even though most of those folks don't own any socks!

I just pray they don't listen to the lies that will come about how they need to organize the thing, get some folks on staff, pay a preacher and hire a youth minister and start a building fund!  I also pray that folks here in the West begin to see some things and start living this way ourselves, right here in our own neighborhoods as we stop doing all that other stuff.

If it's  not working for us right here where we live.... what in heaven's name do we think we are exporting?  Our kids have been rejecting the hypocrisy  of our religious lives with husbands who are clueless how to love our wives or our kids much less our neighbors as ourselves.... love ourselves?... I didn't even like me!  Neither did anybody else!  We have produced a selfish, totally self centered brand of Christianity that is all about me and has very little to do with Jesus except for what He can do for me~!

There is  another way.  The road is not hidden to anyone who wants to find it.... it's only hidden from those of us who already have all the answers.... it was hidden from me for many too many years.
