Prayer II

(A Psalm of Philip) Blessed be the LORD, my rock, Who trains my hands for war, And my fingers for battle; You are my lovingkindness and my fortress, My stronghold and my deliverer; My shield and He in whom I take refuge; Who subdues my enemy Satan under me as I go forth and attack .

Bow Thy heavens, O LORD, and come down; Touch the mountains, that they may smoke. Flash forth lightning and scatter the enemies’ forces in Vermont, especially Morrisville and all of Lamoille County, throughout New England, NJ, PA, the Seattle area, Rwanda, Africa, Laos and China.  Send out Thine arrows and confuse them, scatter them, defeat them. Stretch forth Thy hand from on high; Rescue us and deliver us from all his entrapments and snares and counter attacks, and from all his demonic hordes, his emissaries, Whose mouths speak deceit, And whose right hand is a right hand of falsehood.

I will sing a new song to Thee, O God; I will sing praises to Thee, Who dost give salvation to all men; Who dost rescue Philip His servant from the evil one. Rescue me, and deliver me out of the hand of your enemy, Whose mouth speaks deceit, And whose right hand is a right hand of falsehood. He is a defeated liar and deceiver who comes only to steal, and kill and destroy.

Let my sons in their youth be as grown-up plants, And my daughters as corner pillars fashioned as for a palace;  Let our garners be full, furnishing every kind of produce, And our flocks bring forth thousands and ten thousands in our fields;  Let our cattle bear, Without mishap and without loss, Let there be no outcry in our streets! Bring forth the 21st Century version of this in our businesses, and every aspect of our lives. How blessed are the people who are so situated; How blessed are the people whose God is the LORD!

“Now therefore, I pray Father, that if I have found favor in your sight….then let me know all your ways, so that, most importantly, I can get to know you better every day. I ask you for favor….. without it I have nothing to show to others. And all those other people, Father….they are your people.

And God said to Philip….. “My presence shall go with you, and I will give you rest.”

Then Philip said to Him, “If your presence does not go with me, do not lead me up from here. For how then can it be known that I have found favor in your sight? Both myself and those who walk with me? Is it not by your going with us, so that we may be distinguished from all the other people who are upon the face of the earth?”

And the LORD said to Philip, “I will do this thing of which you have spoken; for you have found favor in My sight, and I have known you by name.”

Then Philip said, “I pray Father, show me your glory!”

And God said, “I Myself will make all My goodness pass before you, and I will proclaim My name before you; and I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show compassion on whom I will show compassion. But you cannot see My face, for no man can see Me and live!”

Then the LORD continued, “Behold, there is a place by Me, and you shall stand there on the Rock, the rock Who is My Son; and it will come about, while My glory is passing by, that I will put you in the Rock and cover you with My hand until I have passed by.”

Then the LORD passed by in front of Philip who is in the Rock and proclaimed, “The LORD God, the LORD who is your God, is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in lovingkindness and truth; who keeps lovingkindness for thousands, who forgives iniquity, transgression and sin; yet He has by no means left the guilty unpunished, and visited the iniquity of fathers on the children and on the grandchildren to the third and fourth generations……yet He has provided His perfect Son as the Lamb of God, who has taken that punishment upon Himself and provided redemption and life in Him…..in His Rock, who is Christ Jesus our Lord.

And Philip made haste to bow low toward the earth and worship. And Philip said, “And now, since I have found favor in your sight, O Lord, I thank You for your promise to go along in our midst, even though we, your people, are so obstinate (we are still your people Lord); do pardon all of our iniquity and our sin, and take every one of us,  as your very own possession.”

Father, I proclaim to principalities and powers that the above words contain the description of Your very character which You brought forth on the earth in the incarnation of your Son Jesus… the Word became Flesh and dwelt amongst us….and you have placed that Word in our hearts so that we may be transformed into the image of your Son as we live our lives in Him in order for Him to live His life in us... filling this whole earth with your Glory in us. I ask you to apply all that you said to Moses to myself, to my family, my friends and all those who belong to you.

Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of real value… if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, let your mind dwell on these things.

I believe with all my heart that this is a description of you Jesus. I make the choice once again today to let my mind dwell on YOU!

Having done all…I now stand. I enter into your Sabbath rest…to wait upon you and watch you work in my life and sphere this day. I look forward to all you have in store for us. We are dangerous to the evil one because we walk with you and are determined to live in you... so you can live in us... He said greater things will you do than I have done. So be it!

Thank you Lord!
