...the next episode
So here I am... it's now 1974... Philip the "flaming evangelist" has now been translated into "Captain Charismatic"... Treasurer of the FGBMFI.... President of Deeper Life, Inc... owner of the Christian Center Book Store and owner of the real estate where it was located.... right there between the bank and the post office in beautiful downtown Allendale, N.J.... on every week with his radio program "The Mark 16 Show" WWDJ Radio in New Jersey.... is this guy somethin' or what?.... :)
So who would be asked to set up the counseling center for CBN's "700 Club" when Pat Robertson wanted to enter the New York Metropolitan marketplace ... I've told you the story... they found the great Phil Wolff... the guy from New Jersey who really makes things happen for God!.... :)
Egads.... if only I had met a whistleblower back then... to challenge all that religious baloney in my life... the problem was I was just being trained as a whistleblower... I blew the whistle on CBN... they were not happy about it... the worst one was when this guy appeared on the "700 Club" blowing his horn (please understand that blowing horns is diametrically opposed to whistle blowing)... :)
.....about his great ministry and Pat gave him 50 grand so he could send balloons up the walls of the hotels in NYC with smiley faced Jesus Loves You on them ... set at every hotel window for folks to see when they looked out their windows... Egads II....
This was the minister I told you about who had the youth coffee house near us... the one who dumped his wife... ran off with his secretary... taking the church funds with him as well... when I blew the whistle on him at CBN... I was told that I was just jealous of his ministry...
That and a few other things that I have already written about... brought me to the place where I was really ready for the teaching on how to be the Perfect Charismatic Church.... where we could stamp out all sin from the Body of Christ...
I really believed we could... unfortunately there was no one doing any whistleblowing back then...
So here we are with old Philip ....who not only Muses..... but blows whistles....
