Everybody has them... has their "druthers"...  (one's own way, choice, or preference: "If I had my druthers..... I would do this or that...") 

It's a contraction of the words... "would rather".... our druthers ... what we choose is major in our lives... we choose a zillion things every day.... it can be very dangerous to let others  choose for us... we have been created  with this freedom to choose... it is our greatest freedom...  we can choose whatever we want.... we choose what we want to do today... tomorrow and a week from next Tuesday....... we choose however  we want to live... wherever  we want to live... no one can force us  to do anything we do not want to do...

Lots of folks try to make us do it their way... people have been killed for refusing to do what somebody else wants them to do... millions of dollars are spent every day trying to manipulate our wills  to choose what "they"  want us to do...

To me... the greatest sin  is to try to control other people... to take away their freedom to choose.  I've done it to others.  I've had others do it to me.  My allowing others  to run my life almost killed me.  It will never  happen to me again.

If God will never violate my free will... and He doesn't... not ever.... who do I think I am... as I try to run everybody else's life... controlling others  is rampant in our society.... at every level... government... business... labor... economics... religion... pick a category... any category... and everybody is telling everybody else the right way  to do everything....

Even when I know that the choices they are making could totally destroy their lives... there is another way we are supposed to live... maybe we'll talk about that... next time.
