There is another way... another way to live... other than just trying to  get my druthers!

I call it..."letting Him have His druthers  instead".    Way back in 1968 when I had my first collision with God... I was told that all my zillion and a half problems back then....were happening because I was running my own life... pursuing all my weird "druthers"... sowing garbage and then reaping all the garbage that came out of the very poor choices  I was making.

That was true enough... I saw it very clearly... made the decision that day to let God run my life... I made the best decision I ever made in my life... I took my "free will" ... said thanks, Lord but no thanks... I don't want my will any more... no more Philip's druthers.... I want Your druthers... I want your will... it is central  in what religion has labeled the "Lord's Prayer"...  "thy will be done"... when I ask God to do that... I give Him the right to run my life.... and things are different...

The only problem was.... that the flip side of that solution to my problems presented back in 1968... was the further presention that once I gave my life to God... everything would then "go right" in my life... the presentation told me that God would now give me the "desires of my heart"... this was interpreted as ... God would now give me all my druthers....  :)

Religion does have things upside down and backwards... it has taken me over 40 years to see how wrong that interpretation is... it is a very popular message... has been... always will be... it is proclaimed from pulpits everywhere... turn on any televangelist... it is a false gospel...

I am so glad God took me literally  at my word to Him... He has shown me time after time after time these 40 years how His way is so much better  than my way... I will tell you some stories of course... stories to try to illustrate what I am trying to communicate...

There was a time when I would question His druthers for me...  never once have I questioned His love for me...

Oh yes... and each time He has exchanged His druthers for my druthers...?

I am so glad  He did....
