a plethora of minutiae.... hmmmm
Only my friend Jeff could pull one like this on me.... we talk pretty much every day or two...either face to face or on the phone... what a great way to live... same thing with my friend Bodie... it's called "relationship"... :)
The only ones I spend more time talking to are Ellen and the Lord.... relationships take time... conversations... two way communication... no short cuts... anything else is "let's pretend"....
So Jeff and I are talking the other day and he tells me how that... sure was a "plethora of minutiae"... I was laughing so hard I still haven't figured out whether he was referring to what I was saying... or what he was saying.... I even had to look up the words to make sure they meant what I thought they meant... :)
They did... they mean what I would call a whole lot-a-bunch (overabundance - excess) of piddly details (small trifling matters - not very significant or important things)... much ado about nothing.... :)
Jeff and I will have to re-visit this next time we talk.... I'd like to think it was tied in with what he was saying about how God doesn't really care about our actions... what He cares about is the heart of the actor... brings us back to relationships... what God cares about is us... the actors... He wants a relationship with us...
Religion is interested in our actions... what we do... how the actor acts... and majors in "sin management"... and the list of sins to manage is very long... no end of things to do and things not to do....
One might even call that a plethora of minutiae....
:)
