Martha was a doer... I understand that... I was a doer... a doer that needed to undo  all my doing....  “Martha, Martha, you are worried and bothered about so many things;  but only a few things are necessary, really only one, for Mary has chosen the good part...."

Why didn't anybody teach me that when I met the Lord?  Why was I taught instead... that now that I had a relationship with God, I  needed to get busy doing things  for God? That sounds exactly the opposite  of what Jesus said to Martha. Hmmm.... I wonder....what does it take to undo  this one?

I can't just sit here and not say  something... I mean... that would be like agreeing  with it... everything in me is crying out to somehow say "stop already"... I would at least like to try,  Lord .... maybe by teaching the opposite  instead? ...  maybe by teaching  what Jesus actually said...?  Would you maybe send me  somebody, Lord...somebody who is un-churched... somebody who hasn't heard all the other stuff... I'd love to see if it's possible to simply point  somebody to You... and help them to see that You...  are all that anybody ever needs.... just to walk and talk with you... fall in love with you....

I would really love to try to do that Lord... this is why you came...

"to bring good news to the afflicted…  to bind up the brokenhearted… to proclaim liberty to captives…. freedom to prisoners…. to proclaim the favorable year of the LORD…. the day of vengeance of our God… and to comfort all who mourn…."

this is why you sent us....

The only place that can happen.... is in You, Lord.....
