So... have you got any tips, Philip... you know...  any tips  about life .... how to live... how to make something out of all this.... Come on now old fella... after 75 years on the planet .... have you learned anything  you'd maybe like to pass along... ?   :)

If anyone ever had actually asked me  such a question 40 years ago.... you know... back then when I had all the answers to everything about life... and how to live it... if anyone had actually asked... I would have had tons of stuff to say... but then again... I never waited  for anyone to actually ask  a question... I just gave answers... all the time... to any questions I thought people should be asking...   :)

20 years later I was ready to write the book titled... "What I learned after I knew everything" ....  :)

Then another  20 years went by and I realized.... I didn't know anything at all... kind of an interesting progression.

Then I was reading an interview  with the guy I told you about the other day... Geroge Warnock... and there was that same question from the interviewer.  It was so neat to realize.... here was somebody else ... who has traveled the same path... to the same conclusions... I loved it... hope you do as well...

Here is the response of the man who had left all the "doing great things for God" stuff and just went back to being a carpenter..... what will this 94 year old man.... after walking intimately with God for over 70 years...  have to say to this question?

"What tips can you give us for getting to know God more intimately?"

 

       "I wish I could muster up some tips from my own experience that would cause God's people to know Him more intimately.  I wouldn't know how to do that.

 

        I think of a small lad with his hammer and saw in his hand and you walk up to him and say, "Can you give me some tips how to build a house?"  And I think I hear him saying, "I don't think so, but go to the door where I live, and ask my Father. He could help you." 

 

 Hmmmm..... Anybody need any tips?  I think it would be good to just knock on the door and ask my Father...
