...so why does he write?
"To write or not to write... that is the question...? " Always pretty easy for the old fella to answer... He just sits down and starts writing. :)
It really is pretty simple... not some complicated process..... why he does this... on the other hand ... is a little more complicated.... so tell us.... why does he do this.... why does he write?
One of the reasons I know that I write..... is that I am so full of things to say.... so full that I need an outlet...before I explode... so that one is pretty selfish...it is really good for Philip to let out that which is within... what is inside needs to come outside so there is no big bang... :)
Another reason is ... that I really believe the things I have learned... might just help somebody that is ready to hear them... I guess I have this thing inside that really wants to help people... so it is a way to get it outside... where it could actually maybe just do that... you know.... help somebody... without telling folks they have to agree with me... believe what I believe... do what I do... live like I do.... or think like I think...
What I say is just out there ... folks can just delete it with a click... or never start reading... ever... it's just out there.
Another reason is.... that I really believe I am supposed to write it down... I think it is something the Lord wants me to do... to write down the things I have heard and touched and seen and handled of the Word of Life... so I do this in order to obey Him... He has inspired me to write. John started his first epistle saying something like that... John also was inspired to write things down... theologians tell us that all scripture has been... "inspired by God"..... that's pretty cool... I believe that...
Not quite where theologians have taken it though...they took it a whole lot further... they told us God wrote it...now... just because God inspires people like me or you or John to write ... is not synonymous with "God wrote it down"...
...aw shucks... now I've got some theologians mad at me... :)
I'll try to explain more tomorrow..... how we have taken inspired words to become the Word of God .... and turned written things into an Idol... there is only one Word of God... His name is Jesus.
:)
