I mean really...?   When was the last time you got all excited because somebody on the other end of the phone told you they had a deal  for you and it was absolutely free?  Come on now... when was it? 

Probably about the same time it was for me... so long ago I can't remember... it doesn't take us very long ... hopefully... we get lots of opportunities to learn... we can learn really fast actually as life happens to us... our experiences can  teach us quickly.... especially once we understand that that is exactly what they are there for.... those experiences God weaves thru our lives... when we finally get to the point where we see that it is not the devil that is in control... but that God is in control... and He has a plan for us... and that plan involves those circumstances... those experiences... especially when we get a really bad burn... or maybe two....  or six... but who's counting? 

How many times do we need to get burned before we realize that the grill is HOT!  How many times do we want to get burned....The advertisement is screaming at you.."Buy One... get Two Free" and everything inside of me is screaming.. "What's the catch"... nothin' is for nothin'... you get what you pay for... hopefully  (but that's another Musing) ... at least most of the time we get what we pay for....

If I don't pay the price... if it doesn't cost me anything... it has no value.... that's true in every area of our lives.... maybe we should try to look at some of those areas... never know...might see some things a little different than we used to...
