...then what is it?
So... if that is not a "testimony"... then what is ...? What is our testimony? I like to think of it as how much of God's own life has been worked into us... where other folks can actually see some little bit of Him... instead of a whole lot of me... it is when His Life confronts the death in me... and Life wins! A friend of mine spoke about it like this:
"This is the real testimony (the real evidence) of a Christian (different from the words we say)......the actual overcoming of death each time we are confronted with it by the power of the resurrection that is living and operating in us. You don't "apply" this....it is a life of its own."
It is a testimony of His presence... not in words we speak about Him... or about the things He has done for us... but His actual life that touches those around us... without us doing anything to make anything happen... just being who we are where we are... living a normal life... with a normal job... right here in this world... wherever He has placed us...
I guess then... Jesus is the testimony... if He is present... the world will know.... regardless all the stories I tell... scriptures I quote... predictions I make... they will be amazed at His presence... not all Philip's words... and He won't be present till that death which is at work in me collides head on with His resurrection life... and I let Him win!
