It's the only way to go.... if you want to go up... you gotta go down first... gotta take the down staircase... I can't go up...unless I go down first... once I do that... once I take the down staircase... then going up no longer matters...

There was a great book back in the 60's..."Up the Down Staircase"... they did a good job turning it into a movie to... had to do with how some schools have "up" staircases to go up and "down" staircases to go down... did you go to a school like that? I did.... God forbid you went up the down staircase! 

It is a biblical principal though... I need to empty myself... I need to make myself of no reputation... I need to become a servant... hmmmm... how come is it do you think that so many of us want to do the opposite... to go up the up staircase... to fill myself... to make a reputation for myself....?   hmmmm...
