...it continues
My golf game continues to disintegrate... I think I will just blame it on our foliage season here at the B&B.... I'm probably just plain tired out and my little old body is refusing to do what I am telling it to do... we'll see... meanwhile it does help in the ongoing humiliation process for Philip since I haven't played this badly in years....
That other one though... that I need tell you about...the one that sticks up its ugly head regularly for me on the golf course... that one of putting people down in some way... especially when they are playing slowly... thereby proving once again how Philip does everything better than everyone else... that one... yes... which is really silly since I play pretty slow... it's like the pot calling the kettle black... Philip even has a reputation of having two speeds when he plays... SLOW and STOP...
I was in the last group off the first tee this one day... everybody always wants to be in the first group off the first hole... so we draw cards.... the worst thing is to be last off the first hole... there were also 2 groups going off on the 3rd hole and 2 groups off on the 5th hole in our shotgun start... but we were the 5th group off of 1...
Of course the slowest group was the first one to tee off... they were still on the green... the second group cooling their heels waiting to hit their next shots... the 3rd group was on the tee waiting for the others to move ahead... and there we were waiting behind the 4th group...
Meanwhile the second group over at 3 was already teeing off .... so I mentioned to the starter that we could bounce over to 3 and be on our way before these slow guys even get to the 2nd tee... He didn't think that was a good idea... I went from ugly to awful... I pushed him every 2 minutes as the slow group dragged on and on... complaining to him about just how slow that first group was... trying to manipulate him any way I could... can't even remember how many times I pushed his button on that... but he finally said to me...
"I get this stuff all the time... but I never expected to get it from you, Phil Wolff..."
UGH!
I needed to do something with that besides just shutting my big mouth... tell you the rest of the story tomorrow!
