T. Austin Sparks

We have come to simply and affectionately refer to him as TAS... T. Austin Sparks (1888-1971).  His writings have greatly impacted our lives. He was  British. Lived in a time I  neither know... or understand.

He was almost 50 before I was born. He was 80 years old when I met the Lord. He speaks with words I barely understand. I need to read with a  dictionary and try to relate to a way of communicating I do not even recognize...

But TAS was a man who walked with God in a way very few have...a man who understood God's ways... a man who constantly inspires and challenges me to walk in that same way... totally consumed by my relationship with Jesus.

What I read today really spoke to what I have been trying to communicate in my little daily postings... I am going to take a shot at translating what he said into 21st Century "American"... and see how it turns out ... My attempt is to use half as many words in order to keep it as simple as possible ... without changing the meaning of what he said.

I hope I can get it done for tomorrow... also hope it means as much to you as it does to me.
