the translation...
This is Philip's attempt to translate what TAS said... part of what I have been trying to communicate... he used the scripture: "I went in response to a revelation and set before them the gospel." (Galatians 2:2 NIV)
"Whatever actions we take should be in response to a personal revelation. Instead, we take what others have done and attempt to copy it... use it as our model.. then find others to support our "vision"... by using everything the natural world uses to promote my cause using my own natural abilities for my own gratification by accomplishing some great work.
Natural man must do something, see something, have something. Ambition, acquisition, achievement, etc., have found their way over from the world's systems to the religious systems... both systems powered by the same engine... causing jealousies, rivalries, bitterness competition... and God simply leaves.
It is a very difficult thing... almost impossible.... for the natural man to do nothing... to have nothing.... and especially to know nothing. But in the case of His most greatly used instruments, God has made this a very real part of their training and preparation. The utter emptying of all self-resource is the only way to have "all things of (out from) God" (2 Cor. 5:18). "that we should not trust in ourselves" (2 Cor. 1:9). "
We cannot be taught these things... we can only experience these things as we respond to personal revelation.
