what a wonderful change....
just three simple days at Shadow Lake and everything is new again... what a wonderful change...not the least of which was discovering another season... I have named it "Apres Foliage"...
And here I thought nothing got more beautiful than Foliage in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont... then I dscovered how beautiful "Apres Foliage" was over these past three days... it is one of those things we have to "experience"... how can I find words to explain it... I can't.
It's like I was talkiing about the other day... "we cannot be taught these things... we can only experience these things as we respond to personal revelation."
I can try to describe what I experienced... give it my best shot... talk about it... but it won't give that same experience to you...
I just loved the grays of the leafless tree sticks all mixed in with the greens of the evergreens and remaining oranges, reds and yellows.... stunning... absolutely stunning.... like a stream of grey mist weaving its way thru the varieties of color.... but the most stunning of all for me was a section of the hillside with miles of leafless white birches standing there like tall white pillars each perfectly spaced apart... leaping out from all the rest of the forest... gorgeous!
Then that small quiet voice started speaking to me from deep inside... incredible... hoping to be able to share some of that over the next few days...
