so I was taught that this whole walk with God is by faith... just believing... there is nothing I can do to earn my relationship with God... I am not justified by works... there is nothing I can do to earn my salvation... so... why is it do you suppose that the next thing I was taught... was all the things that Christians need to do.... I mean like...now that I have received Christ... now that I am a born again Christian... here is the list of all the things that born again Christians need to do in order to show they are born again Christians...

What is wrong with this picture... I can't believe it took me almost 40 years to actually see the horror of that contradiction... I hope it might help someone to see a little more of the iceburg... maybe even before the Titanic runs into it.

Of course...the very first thing I need to do is get myself into a good bible believing church... where I can now go (every week) to Sunday morning service and Sunday evening service... (after attending Sunday School)... as well as the mid-week service... (and don't forget the weekly prayer meeting)... and the trip to the mall to witness and pass out tracts... get involved on some commitees at Church... develop relationships with other people in the church... etc. etc.

God forbid you were in Philip's Church... there was also time every week to spend with your discipler... attend your home group meeting... oh.. yes... and by the way... whatever we do as a church... we all do together... like the 5K or 10K races every weekend... where we all wear our blue tee-shirts displaying the name of our church... and...if you are not in good enough shape.. (yet)... to run in the race... then you can serve at the water stations...wearing your blue tee-shirt.... 

Becoming a servant is very, very important... now let me tell you about a few thousand ways you can learn to do that...

Oh...oh... watch out... the Titanic is getting closer and closer...
