After the 2nd Epiphany

  • Musings
When that second 32 years ended in June 1999 with my Epiphany at the fence , I realized that the first 32 years had also ended in June..... 1968.

I thought also about Ellen and I entering into our lifelong partnership in June..... 1969. June has been very good to me. :)

The Revelation I received at the fence , seeing that panorama of 32 years roll before my eyes brought with it the rather stark realization that the second 32 years was pretty much the same as the first 32 years, except now I was doing it for the Lord! Remember what I had said about the world's challenge to be a success, make a lot of money, do your own thing, leave your mark, change the world, build a bigger, better mousetrap…all that stuff. The church challenged me to be a spiritual success, do God's thing, leave my mark, save the world, build an ever greater, bigger ministry that somehow got to be an awful lot of money! Yes sir, get out there and get busy for God.

How badly I missed it. All He wanted me to do was to have a deep, intimate personal relationship with Him.....He would take care of the rest as I entered into His Rest. What a different world it has been since '99!

But there was so much yet to learn during these past 8+ years! So much. Many more stories. Always more stories!
