All is well again!
Copley has officially opened... had a great time up there hitting some balls the past few days... looking forward to another great day... even have been playing well... hope it continues... :) Grass is changing slowly from brown to green... the course is in really great shape... calling all golfers! It is that time of the year... crocuses have appeared... flowers soon following... love it!
Springing into Summer!
Forecast is 77 degrees tomorrow... do you think we are skipping Spring! It's ok with Philip... I do enjoy all the Seasons... but the eternal "cold" was gettin' "old"... at least for my old bones... looking forward to the warm weather and 9 official holes on Saturday when Copley opens... of course it is supposed to rain Saturday, so I will try to get them in unofficially on Friday... shirt sleeves and 77 degrees... yesssss!
Snow is gone!
Looking at 60's and 70's the rest of the week... (temperatures... not golf scores..:) .... went up to Copley yesterday and hit some wedges around off brown grass... no snow anywhere... it is all gone... did not go up to play today (wind and rain) but tomorrow looks great... definitely will hit some shots even if we are not "officially open" till Saturday... it will be fun watching the brown turn green as the week progresses with the warm temperatures... join us for the weekend... :)
back to business as usual...
What we like most about this business is all the great people we get to meet... 1200 to 1500 every year ... Lots of B&B's shut down during mud season, take vacations or whatever... but I absolutely love MUD SEASON! With less folks coming up to Vermont, we have plenty of time just to hang out and get to know the folks who do come up. So... let's just do this thing. Lots of rooms always available in April. Pick a room... any room!
Ellen's back!
Ellen returns from a week's vacation with her sister in Atlanta... thus returning Village Victorian back to normal... and everything once again is stable... Philip however is never normal nor stable... but blessed out of his socks to have his best friend back...nice to be up to full staff again for all the folks coming in now for mud season... what are you waiting for... book early and often :)
Whole new ballgame!
We have sunny skies and 55 degrees for Easter announcing that Spring is finally here... the mountains will continue with spring Skiing for as long as the snow lasts... while here in the valley we are officially entering "Mud Season"... not to worry.. no mud here at Village Victorian and all paved roads to get here... so come on up... enjoy our always reasonable rates and great room selection for the next month... love to meet you...
Can you believe it!
It's hard to believe for this time of year... still flurries in the forecast... then sunshine on the weekend... mountain report said: "the mountain is in phenomenal shape for this time of year. Our snow depths are the deepest they’ve been all season"... last year Copley Country Club opened 2 weeks early and we were golfing on April 1st! Ski - Golf -Whatever! Just come on up. Lots of rooms this time of year.
Snow just continues...!
Well... the weekend is past but the good snow reports continue from the mountains...
